Tyson Fury and his family have reportedly left the UK and relocated to the Isle of Man. The heavyweight boxer, along with his wife Paris and their seven children, are now residing in an estimated £8 million mansion near Douglas, the capital of the island. Recent filings on Companies House indicate that as of December 1st, their official residence is the Isle of Man, known for its beneficial tax regulations that attract affluent individuals.
Residents of the Isle of Man, a self-governing territory, are subject to local tax rates rather than those of the UK. The top income tax rate on the island is 21%, significantly lower than the UK’s 40%, and there is no inheritance tax imposed.
According to sources cited by The Sun, Tyson Fury had informed friends about the move and mentioned their search for schools for their youngest children on the island. The family had previously resided in Morecambe, Lancashire for 17 years. The decision to move coincides with the introduction of a new property levy on homes exceeding £2 million, which their Morecambe property is believed to surpass. Additionally, Tyson is currently liable for a 45% tax rate on earnings exceeding £125,140, with an estimated net worth of £160 million.
Fans have observed Tyson making trips to the Isle of Man via ferries departing from Liverpool or Heysham. One fan shared an encounter with Tyson on a ferry, expressing excitement about meeting him and his family. Tyson was also spotted at a jacket potato shop, where he reportedly purchased £60 worth of potatoes. The shop’s director mentioned Tyson’s visit and how he bought all the remaining potatoes in the store for his family of nine.
In June, Tyson Fury Ltd, the boxer’s company, held £162 million in cash and investments, showing a substantial increase of £82 million since 2023. However, Tyson’s personal income was reported at only £100,000.
