Google has announced that it will no longer provide support for Chrome on older versions of Apple’s macOS platform. While Chrome will still function on MacBooks and iMacs, users will not receive updates or security patches, potentially exposing them to cyber threats. Users on macOS 12 (Monterey) or older must upgrade to macOS Ventura to continue receiving Chrome support, as Chrome 150 is the final version compatible with macOS 12. Starting from July this year, Chrome 151 and future versions will require macOS 13 Ventura or newer. Some older Macs, like pre-2017 iMacs and pre-2018 MacBook Air models, may not be compatible with macOS Ventura, necessitating a new device for continued Chrome use.
