“Android Users Warned: Update Now for Critical Security Fix”

Android users are urged to promptly update their devices following the release of a critical update by Google. This update addresses two zero-day-rated bugs that hackers are actively exploiting. Even though the vulnerabilities may have only affected a limited number of users, it is crucial to take precautions.

According to Adam Boynton, Senior Security Strategy Manager EMEIA at Jamf, the update fixes vulnerabilities known as CVE-2025-38352 and CVE-2025-48543, which could allow attackers to compromise the device and gain local privilege escalation without user interaction, respectively.

While Google’s Pixel phones are expected to receive the update immediately, users of other devices, like Samsung phones, may experience a slight delay as vendors customize the update for their devices. Therefore, all Android users are advised to check for updates regularly to ensure their devices are protected.

It is essential for Android phone users to stay vigilant, keep their devices updated, and follow recommended security practices to safeguard their personal information and data.
