Apple recently unveiled its latest iOS 26 operating system, showcasing a new Liquid Glass design, home screen modifications, and a feature to automatically block scam calls. The tech giant’s upcoming release is set to launch officially this fall.
For those eager to try out the new features sooner, Apple has introduced the iOS 26 Public Beta. This version allows users to explore the updates in advance and provide feedback on any potential bugs or issues they encounter.
However, not all iPhone models will be compatible with iOS 26. The iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR will not support the beta version or the final release later this year due to hardware limitations.
Apple has listed the iPhones that can run iOS 26, including the latest models such as the iPhone 16 series, iPhone 15 series, iPhone 14 series, iPhone 13 series, iPhone 12 series, and iPhone 11 series.
To participate in testing the pre-release software and contribute feedback, users can join the Apple Beta Software Program through the company’s website. Although the Public Beta may contain some glitches, it offers an early look at the upcoming updates.
The iOS 26 update introduces a new visual style known as Liquid Glass, enhancing the appearance of menus and apps with a glossy, glass-like effect. Additionally, the lock screen features more interactive elements that adjust dynamically based on available space and notifications.
Among the new features, iOS 26 includes Call Screening to prevent unwanted calls and real-time translation of calls and texts for improved communication, especially useful for frequent travelers.
