“Passengers Evacuated After Boeing Tire Blowout”

Newly released video footage captures the intense moment when passengers had to be evacuated from a Boeing aircraft following a sudden tire blowout upon landing at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in Georgia, US. The incident involved a LATAM Airlines flight from Peru, with the Boeing 767-300ER surrounded by fire trucks as authorities investigate the cause of the blowout.

Passengers onboard experienced a loud bang and violent shaking as the plane touched down, with some expressing gratitude for surviving the ordeal. Liza Karseno, a passenger, described the landing as initially fine before the wheels seemingly popped, leaving her thankful for everyone’s safety above all else.

Concerns arose about the plane’s ability to stop due to its speed, with passengers observing the torn tires and damage to the landing gear and cabin. Despite the chaotic landing, firefighters successfully evacuated all passengers without any reported injuries, as the Atlanta Fire Rescue Department responded promptly to the flat tire incident.

The Boeing 767-300ER, commonly used by LATAM Peru for long-haul flights between Lima and Atlanta, accommodates up to 221 passengers and crew members. The airline is currently being approached for further comments on the incident.

This event echoes a similar incident last August, where a British holidaymaker recounted a terrifying experience when a plane’s tire exploded during takeoff. The passenger praised the crew and pilot for their handling of the situation, emphasizing the rarity of such occurrences but acknowledging the importance of safety measures during emergencies.
