The upcoming Masters Champions Dinner, known as the most exclusive dining event in golf, is approaching in less than three weeks. Rory McIlroy, the reigning Green Jacket winner, recently shared the menu he has curated for the prestigious gathering. Among the appetizers, guests can enjoy Rosie’s dates stuffed with goat’s cheese, a dish inspired by McIlroy’s mother’s specialties.
Having secured his career Grand Slam with a victory at Augusta National last year, McIlroy will have the honor of hosting the iconic champions’ dinner next month. The event, officially named the Masters Club Dinner, will feature a choice between Wagyu Filet Mignon and seared salmon as the main course options. Attendance at this exclusive affair is restricted to past Green Jacket winners.
Traditionally, the defending champion selects the menu for the dinner, with Scottie Scheffler overseeing the culinary offerings in 2025. His menu included cheeseburger sliders, firecracker shrimp, and “Papa Scheff’s meatball and ravioli bites,” with a playful nod to a Christmas Day incident from the previous year.
Previous dinners have featured diverse and delectable menus, such as Hideki Matsuyama’s Japanese-themed feast in 2022 and Jon Rahm’s Spanish-inspired dishes in 2024. Even Sir Nick Faldo, a three-time Green Jacket winner and past host of the event, served a simple fish and chips meal following his 1996 triumph.
Despite the occasional unconventional menu choices, the Masters Champions Dinner remains a cherished and memorable occasion for past winners like Faldo. The event not only celebrates golfing achievements but also fosters camaraderie and shared memories among the esteemed guests.
