“Russian Missile Strike Kills 10 in Ukrainian Village”

A devastating missile strike by Russian forces claimed the lives of 10 individuals in a Ukrainian village situated in the Kharkiv region on Tuesday, as confirmed by Ukrainian officials. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy condemned the attack, emphasizing the civilian nature of the targeted area, which included a post office and stores surrounded by residential structures. Images shared by Zelenskyy depicted the aftermath of the assault, showing a demolished building, burning cars, and emergency personnel aiding injured individuals.

In response to the attack, Zelenskyy vowed retaliation against the Russian strike. The governor of the region, Oleh Syniehubov, reported that 17 individuals were injured in the assault. The strike resulted in significant damage to 10 private buildings, a café, a post office, a store, and several vehicles in the village, as detailed by Syniehubov.

Reports from the Ukraine Prosecutor General’s Office indicated that Russia utilized two small Banderol cruise missiles in the attack. Local sources revealed that the strike primarily impacted the central area of the village, where essential facilities such as the café, post office, and shops are located.

Meanwhile, Ukraine launched a large-scale drone offensive targeting Moscow and its surroundings, deploying 620 drones in one of Kyiv’s most extensive air assaults on the region. Russian forces intercepted 180 drones over the Moscow region, with Mayor Sergei Sobyanin confirming emergency response efforts at crash sites. The drones struck various facilities near Moscow, including a warehouse of the Russian e-commerce company Wildberries, resulting in injuries to several individuals.

Additionally, Russian-controlled regions, including Crimea, experienced heavy drone attacks from Ukraine. Krymenergo, the primary power supplier in Crimea, reported that southern districts were subjected to Ukrainian drone assaults, causing power outages in several settlements. Responding to the drone attacks, Russia warned Britain of consequences for allegedly supplying drones to Ukraine for use in attacks on Russian territory.

Notably, Britain’s Defence Ministry did not verify the use of British drones in the attacks. In a statement, a Defence Ministry spokesperson reiterated the UK’s support for Ukraine in defending against Russian aggression, referencing a previous commitment to provide 150,000 drones to Ukraine by the end of 2026 as part of a substantial funding package.
