A 16-year-old teenager has been taken into custody following the discovery of potentially hazardous materials at a residence in a coastal town in the UK. Law enforcement’s bomb disposal unit swiftly responded to Gloucester Road in Blackpool where several homes were evacuated due to the presence of worrisome items.
Video footage from the location depicted a substantial police deployment in the vicinity of Gloucester Avenue, situated approximately a mile away from the popular Blackpool promenade. A spokesperson for Lancashire Constabulary indicated that the adolescent was apprehended on suspicion of violating the Explosives Act, subsequent to the unearthing of the items at the Gloucester Avenue property.
Chief Inspector Martin Wyatt emphasized the extensive deployment of police and emergency services in the region, urging individuals to steer clear of the area whenever feasible.
