A Love Island champion is celebrating the arrival of their first child. Finley Tapp has embraced fatherhood as his girlfriend, Jess, gave birth shortly after the New Year. The 2020 Love Island winner with Paige Turley had shared the news last year about expecting a baby with Jess.
Finn took to Instagram on Saturday to introduce their newborn son, named Austin. Expressing their joy, Finn shared heartfelt words about their new addition, saying, “For nine months you were an image in our heads. We imagined a world with you in it, and now you’re here. Our hearts have never been fuller. The most perfect baby boy.” He also praised Jess, calling her incredible and expressing his admiration for her.
The semi-professional footballer Finn was the inaugural winner of the winter edition of Love Island in 2020, alongside his then-girlfriend Paige. The couple parted ways in June 2023. Paige, who joined the show in South Africa, disclosed her past relationship with singer Lewis Capaldi.
Paige and Finn had a three-year relationship and quickly moved in together after their Love Island victory. However, their romance faced challenges, leading to Paige vacating their shared apartment in Manchester in April 2023. Speaking on Love Island’s Aftersun spin-off show, Paige mentioned that they had drifted apart but remained good friends.
Finn had expressed his desire to have a family, aiming to have children by the age of 25. He mentioned wanting two or three children, possibly a son whom he could train, and even considered naming his son after himself.
