“Drake Unveils New Tracks in ‘FOMO’ Film Premiere”

Drake delighted his fans with a variety of surprises, including new tracks, in his highly anticipated “not so short film” released on Tuesday evening. The rapper had teased the project on Instagram the week before, and he certainly delivered on his promise.

Titled “Fear of Missing Out (FOMO),” the hour-long film was streamed live on YouTube, Spotify, and Apple platforms, showcasing Drake’s summer adventures and luxurious lifestyle. Viewers were taken on a journey through Drake’s sprawling Toronto mansion, where he was seen dancing, spending time with his mother Sandra Graham and her friends, and cruising on his lime-green luxury speedboat against the backdrop of the Toronto skyline.

Packed with Toronto and Canada references, the video featured Drake alongside rapper Loe Shimmy in $150,000 Iron Man suits at the Canadian National Exhibition. The star-studded film included appearances by SexyyRed, Stunna Sandy, Winnie Harlow, Kevin Durant, Lena the Plug, and more.

In a similar fashion to his previous ICEMAN livestream, portions of which were repurposed for visual albums from his HABIBTI and MAID OF HONOUR albums, FOMO showcased new music collaborations with Don Toliver, PartyNextDoor, Yeat, and nine other fresh tracks, including a highly anticipated remix of Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas.”

During the Toronto premiere of FOMO, Drake announced plans for a world tour in 2027, exciting his fans with the prospect of upcoming shows. Despite the film being made private on YouTube shortly after its debut, those who watched it had mixed reactions, with some praising it as a symbol of Drake’s longevity and consistency in the music industry.

Jamaican dancehall artist Spice congratulated Drake on Instagram, commending his hard work and dedication to FOMO. Drake, also known as Aubrey Graham, had teased the project for weeks on Instagram, gradually building anticipation with posts hinting at the film’s release.

Prior to the film’s debut, Drake shared family photos and a CD cover on his Instagram, setting the stage for the FOMO rollout. He described the film as a tale of seizing the moment during one summer and encouraged viewers to take decisive actions in their lives.

Ending on a motivational note, Drake challenged perceptions of the music industry and urged kindness and reflection in his closing remarks.
