The motorcyclist, identified as a 61-year-old resident of Kitchener, was pronounced deceased at the scene, while three occupants of the passenger vehicles sustained injuries deemed non-life-threatening and were transported to a hospital for treatment. The intersection was temporarily shut down for investigative purposes, causing disruption for several hours before being reopened.
