Vancouver Goldeneyes’ goalie, Kristen Campbell, has always looked up to her mother. Like many parents of hockey players, Janet Campbell devoted countless hours to supporting her children’s hockey pursuits despite battling multiple sclerosis since her daughter was just two years old.

Kristen admires her mother’s resilience and selflessness, recalling how Janet prioritized attending every hockey practice and game, even while facing her own health challenges. Sharing her family’s journey, Campbell is participating in A&W’s annual Burgers to Beat MS campaign to raise funds for MS Canada in support of individuals living with the disease.

With her mother being one of the 90,000 Canadians affected by MS, Campbell aims to raise awareness, support, and contribute to finding a cure. Despite living with the invisible symptoms of MS, Janet Campbell has led a fulfilling life, inspiring Kristen with her strength and perseverance.

Kristen Campbell, originally from Brandon, Manitoba, has excelled in her hockey career, representing Canada at the 2022 Olympics and earning accolades in the PWHL. Following a successful season with the Goldeneyes, Campbell is now focusing on coaching, running goalie camps, and preparing for the upcoming season.

As the PWHL expands with new teams and opportunities, Campbell reflects on the league’s growth and the unwavering support from fans. Looking ahead, she is eager to continue contributing to the league’s development and success.
