Selena Gomez, a well-known singer and actor, is facing a lawsuit from investors who claim she engaged in fraudulent activities by not fulfilling her obligations to develop and promote her mental health startup. The investors had put in around $1.2 million in Wondermind Global, a venture launched in 2021 with the aim of enhancing users’ “mental fitness.”
According to the lawsuit filed in federal court in Delaware, investors were promised that Gomez, a prominent figure in social media with over 500 million followers, would actively participate in the company’s growth as the head of marketing. Allegations state that Gomez and other company executives failed to meet their commitments, such as the creation of a mobile app.
The lawsuit mentions that Gomez allegedly signed a contract committing to her role but failed to honor it, leading to the belief that there was no genuine business operation in progress. The plaintiffs claim that the company neglected fundamental responsibilities, like timely payments to employees and vendors.
Requests for comments from Gomez’s representative went unanswered. The lawsuit contends that the investors were unaware of the company’s issues until a news article surfaced online in September 2025, outlining the challenges. The plaintiffs are now seeking to recover their investments along with legal expenses incurred.
