Environment Canada has canceled a yellow alert for severe weather following a storm that swept through parts of southern Alberta. The agency warned of damaging wind gusts, large hail, and heavy rain as the storm moved from Claresholm towards areas near Lethbridge and Medicine Hat. The initial warning issued earlier in the day highlighted the potential for a dangerous thunderstorm capable of generating baseball-sized hail and causing damage to structures and trees.
A yellow watch for a severe thunderstorm remains in effect for a significant portion of the region stretching from Claresholm east to Hays and south to the U.S. border as of Tuesday night. For the latest updates, individuals are encouraged to visit the Environment Canada website.
