“Manchester Woman Charged with Murder in House Fire Tragedy”

A murder charge has been brought against a woman in connection with the tragic death of a four-year-old girl in a house fire. Carrin Wibier, aged 45, from Gateshead Close in Manchester, faces charges of murder and arson with intent to endanger life following the incident that claimed the life of Lesma-Rose Wibier in Rusholme, Manchester, back in March. Wibier has been detained under the Mental Health Act since March 3.

The tragic event took place on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at a residence on Gateshead Close. Lesma-Rose was rescued from the fire and rushed to the hospital, where she passed away shortly after. Authorities from Greater Manchester Police revealed that the murder charge specifically pertains to the death of the young girl.

In the aftermath of the heartbreaking loss, the family of Lesma-Rose paid tribute to her, describing her as the shining star of the family. They highlighted her beauty, kindness, intelligence, and the joy she brought to those around her. The family expressed deep sorrow over the irreplaceable loss.
