Apple is currently hosting its annual WWDC Developers Conference at its headquarters in Cupertino, California, unveiling a range of updates for its products. The upcoming iPhone features enhancements such as improved customization, better parental controls, quicker app launching, and a more intuitive Siri assistant set to launch later this year. Users with devices compatible with Apple Intelligence are expected to see significant benefits from these updates.
Initially introduced in 2024, Apple Intelligence faced challenges with several promised features not materializing. The tech giant has since been diligently working to enhance this innovative service, gearing up to introduce the changes to the public soon.
The revamped Apple Intelligence, expected to debut in September, aims to simplify life by assisting users in organizing calendars and providing one-tap suggestions based on the context of conversations in Messages. For instance, receiving a message requesting “photos of mom” will prompt Apple Intelligence to display relevant images from the user’s photo library for quick access.
Among the Safari browser updates is a feature called Notify Me, enabling users to monitor web pages for changes like product restocks or price drops. Additionally, Safari now includes auto-organized tabs by topic for improved browsing efficiency.
One of the standout features is the enhancement in photo capabilities within Apple Intelligence. Users can now expect better image retouching, object removal, background extension without the need for advanced editing skills, and a new Spatial Reframing feature to adjust photo composition post-capture.
Craig Federighi, Apple’s senior vice president of Software Engineering, emphasized the company’s commitment to leveraging advanced technology to create user-friendly products. The aim is to integrate powerful AI into their platforms, emphasizing personalization and usefulness.
The updated Apple Intelligence is set to roll out with iOS 27 this fall, available on various iPhone models, including the iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, iPhone 16 range, iPhone 17 series, and the iPhone Air.
