“Female Prison Officer Accused of Inmate Affairs & Smuggling”

A 29-year-old female prison officer is accused of engaging in inappropriate relationships with inmates and smuggling drugs into HMP Peterborough. Kayleigh Robson, from Grantham, Lincs, allegedly developed romantic connections with prisoners over a nine-month period and facilitated the entry of cannabis and tobacco into the Category B prison. She also purportedly participated in a money laundering scheme.

Robson pleaded not guilty to all charges, only providing her personal details during the brief court appearance. The allegations against her include intentional misconduct as a public officer by engaging in intimate relationships with prisoners from June 1, 2020, to February 28, 2021. Additionally, between July 23, 2020, and April 19, 2021, she is accused of conspiring with others to introduce contraband into the prison and being part of a money laundering arrangement involving bank transfers.

During the court session, Robson appeared alongside three male co-defendants, with two more individuals scheduled for later hearings. Adam Hussain, Ashley Neal, and Roy Shalliker denied involvement in the conspiracy to bring illegal items into HMP Peterborough. Hussain and Neal also refuted the money laundering charge.

Robson and her associates were granted bail, and a two-week trial is set for April 2027 at Huntingdon Crown Court. Judge Philip Grey addressed the defendants, emphasizing the consequences of failing to attend the trial, highlighting potential legal repercussions and the importance of maintaining contact with their legal representatives.
