“Freeview Users Urged to Retune for Channel Lineup Changes”

If you are a Freeview user, it is advisable to review your settings and perform a retune promptly. The popular UK TV platform has officially announced an update rollout that introduces several modifications to the channel lineup and TV guide. Freeview has stated that starting this week, some broadcasters are implementing changes, necessitating a retune to ensure channels and the TV guide remain current.

What’s new in this update? Four changes have been unveiled. Firstly, three existing channels have undergone rebranding with new names, which will now be visible when browsing through the TV guide.

Here are the details of the changes:
– That’s TV 3 (Channel 71) has been renamed That’s 20th Century, showcasing music from previous decades and iconic shows like Yes, Minister, In Sickness and in Health, and The Saint.
– That’s TV 3 MCR (Channel 86) is now That’s 20th Century MCR, while That’s Classics MCR (Channel 93) has been simplified to That’s Classics.

Additionally, a new channel called That’s Entertainment is set to launch on Channel 75. While specific program listings are not widely available yet, more information is expected shortly.

Freeview emphasizes that these updates are part of the ongoing adjustments made by broadcasters to ensure diverse and current content offerings.

If you are a Freeview subscriber, you should notice these changes reflected in the TV planner. If not, you may need to retune your device by following these steps:
1. Press the menu button on your remote.
2. Navigate to settings, installation, or a similar option.
3. Enter your PIN if prompted (commonly 1234 or 0000).
4. Select “first-time installation,” “factory reset,” or “full retune.”
5. Confirm your willingness to delete existing channels.
6. Your device will automatically search for and store the updated channels.

While Freeview updates occur regularly, this recent update is significant, so it is recommended to retune promptly.
