Newlywed Woman Survives Car Crash, Killed by Lorry

A tragic incident unfolded when a newly married woman survived a car crash on the motorway, only to lose her life moments later when a lorry collided with her as she exited the overturned vehicle.

The woman, identified as Samara Prado Martins, 24, had recently tied the knot with her husband Thiago Oliveira Martins. The couple was driving in Ponta Grossa, Parana, Brazil, on December 29 when their car rolled over on the BR-376 motorway. Despite escaping the initial crash, they were struck by a large truck that failed to stop in time.

Samara tragically passed away at the crash site, while her husband was rescued and airlifted in critical condition to a hospital in Ponta Grossa for ongoing medical care. Their family is providing support during this difficult time.

According to reports, the couple was returning from the beach alone in their car when the accident occurred. Samara’s parents, brother, and sister-in-law, who were in another vehicle, turned back upon learning of the incident.

The lorry driver, who emerged unharmed as the vehicle ended up in a field, is cooperating with authorities as they investigate the circumstances surrounding the initial crash.

Samara’s body will be transported to Dourados, Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil, for her final rites. Friends and acquaintances from her hometown have expressed their condolences on social media and are offering support to her grieving family.
